Abstract: Many key considerations go into planning and conducting aerial adulticide applications for a successful mission; such as appropriate application rates related to target species, droplet size, application altitude, and appropriate offsets (determined by altitude and wind conditions at the time of application). Offset modeling provides drift and deposition predictions by using specific product properties, aircraft & spray system set-up, droplet size, application altitude, and time of application wind conditions. Evaluating offset for aerial adulticide applications requires large-scale field studies aimed at validating the modeling prediction. This presentation reviews the methods and tools used to conduct these evaluations, as well as the data collected from direct comparison evaluations of aerial applications of ReMoa Tri ® and Dibrom ® conducted at an altitude of 300 feet.
