Abstract: The mosquito control industry is at an inflection point. As public demand grows for effective, sustainable, and insecticide-free solutions, traditional service models are being reimagined. This presentation explores how Biogents is pioneering a new approach to mosquito management by partnering with commercial landscaping and property management companies to deliver trap-based control services at scale. Through collaborations with industry leaders, Biogents integrates its scientifically proven mosquito traps into existing service infrastructures, transforming these companies into frontline providers of mosquito control for residential and commercial clients.
This partnership model leverages the strengths of both industries: landscaping companies already possess localized client relationships, service routes, and property access, while Biogents provides research-backed trapping technology and technical expertise. Together, they deliver targeted mosquito suppression without relying on chemical adulticides, addressing growing public concerns about pesticide use and resistance. Early pilot programs demonstrate significant reductions in Aedes populations, high homeowner satisfaction, and strong retention rates, suggesting that this service-based approach can be both operationally viable and scalable.
Beyond mosquito reduction, this model offers a blueprint for how vector control can evolve over the next decade — integrating private-sector infrastructure, sustainable technology, and public health outcomes. Attendees will gain insights into partnership design, field implementation strategies, and lessons learned from initial deployments. As the industry seeks new solutions to growing mosquito-borne disease challenges, this approach offers a pathway to broaden control capacity and extend impact far beyond traditional government-led programs.
