Abstract: The Florida Keys Mosquito Control District is transitioning from traditional human landing rate counts to automated BG Counter traps for monitoring adult mosquito activity on Big Pine Key. This presentation outlines the logistical considerations involved in implementing BG Counters, evaluates time and cost efficiencies compared to human landing rate collections, and discusses future strategies for optimizing their deployment across the district.
