Biological Sciences Manager Clarke, Illinois, United States
Abstract: After successful deployment in Brazil and Latin America's public health programs, Clarke's Natular DT Mini brings a small larvicide dose to the United States. The Natular DT Mini right-sizes the Natular DT tablet for smaller water-holding sites, with quick kill, residual control, and pre-flood capability, while optimizing treatment capacity from 200 gallons to 13-gallon containers.
This smaller tablet formulation addresses critical gaps in homeowner mosquito management by providing appropriately sized dosing for small water-holding containers, such as mosquito traps, bird baths, planters, tires, and decorative features, commonly found in residential settings.
This session will explore field trials conducted to demonstrate Natular DT Mini's efficacy in both Brazil and Illinois-based environments, where it achieved and sustained performance against Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus. Attendees will leave with an understanding of where and how to deploy this smaller-dosage tablet within their programs, as well as with an understanding of residential trends that necessitate the use of such formulations in standalone residential mosquito traps.
