As New World Screwworm poses new threats to US Agriculture, there is a need to reflect on past eradication efforts, known and unknown aspects of the pest's behavior and biology, and develop modern modeling tools to forecast the spread of and assess management strategies for New World Screwworm. This talk highlights the ongoing efforts at USDA-ARS to meet this challenge.
