1994-2020 26+ years directing Manatee County Mosquito Control District, a US $6 million annual budget mosquito control program on the south shores of Tampa Bay, with 29 employees utilizing an IPM approach to control both disease-vectoring and nuisance mosquitoes in a 750 square mile area with 350,000 residents. A major component of the program is the use of aerial application, both adulticiding and larviciding, utilizing the District’s 3 helicopters where appropriate to reduce the populations of many different mosquito species.
