Juan Pablo joined the Delta Mosquito and Vector Control District in 2022 as a Laboratory Technician, supporting the District's Mosquito Surveillance Program by setting and retrieving mosquito traps and identifying mosquito species from daily collections. In July 2023, he was promoted to Biologist and is now responsible for the disease testing program and the insectary. Before joining the District, Pablo worked in the agricultural industry, with experience in plant breeding and research, orchard production and management, and poultry farming operations.
He holds a B.S. in Biotechnology Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, Jalisco, México.
When not working, Pablo enjoys doing CrossFit and cooking.
