Program Manager, Health and Air Quality Applications

John Haynes serves as Program Manager for Health and Air Quality Applications in the Earth Action Program of the Earth Science Division at NASA Headquarters. The Program promotes the use of Earth observations in air quality management and public health, particularly involving environmental health and infectious diseases. He is the Co-Chair of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Health Community of Practice. He also serves as the NASA Program Applications Lead on the following satellite missions: Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution (TEMPO) and the Multi-Angle Imager for Aerosols (MAIA). He received his MS in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma and BS in Meteorology from the University of South Alabama. He was the recipient of the 2021 NASA Exceptional Service Medal.
