Mr. Manuel Amador holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. He worked with the Agricultural Extension Service of the University of Puerto Rico and later served as a supervisor in the Cattle Tick Eradication Program under the Department of Agriculture. He also worked as a biologist with the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Subsequently, he dedicated 34 years as a biologist-entomologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Dengue Branch in Puerto Rico. He currently collaborates with the Puerto Rico Vector Control Unit as a trainer under the Tropical Island Training and Evaluation Center (TITEC) program.
