Abstract: Adult, host-seeking mosquito surveillance traps are commonly baited with solid CO₂ which is less available in resource limited settings. In pursuit of alternative generative methods, we compared the effectiveness of four alternative generative methods of carbon dioxide, two yeast based baits and two non-yeast based baits. These baits were all paired with a CDC light trap for nightly collections in two locations, North Carolina (NC), USA, and Kasese District, Uganda.
