Dr. Huixuan Li is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of South Carolina’s Arnold School of Public Health. Trained in Geography and Remote Sensing, her research integrates geospatial technologies, environmental data, and machine-learning methods to advance understanding of vector-borne and climate-sensitive diseases. She leads and collaborates on projects examining how climate variability, urbanization, and land-use change influence mosquito ecology and disease transmission across the Americas. Dr. Li’s interdisciplinary work bridges environmental science, data analytics, and public health to develop predictive models that inform surveillance and control strategies for emerging infectious diseases.
