Jessica has eight years of experience in mosquito surveillance, research, and rearing. She manages the insectary at the Arbovirus Laboratory, overseeing the maintenance and breeding of its 13 mosquito colonies as well as the establishment of multiple field populations. Jessica joined the New York State Department of Health- Wadsworth Center after her service in the U.S. Navy during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom campaigns. She holds an associate’s degree in Environmental Science from Hudson Valley Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
