Abstract: The Tangipahoa Mosquito Abatement District (TMAD) has implemented a Gambusia affinis, western mosquitofish colony for residents within their district to utilize. This talk will explore the process of starting and maintaining a mosquitofish colony, the reason to start one and how their residents have responded so far. Attendees will learn how TMAD implemented a mosquitofish colony and the response it has received from their district members.
